When I try to switch to my university-provided account on Microsoft 365, the message "Your school account is no longer active" appears, and I cannot complete the switch.

If you see the message "Your school account is no longer active," it may be because the issue is linked to the account information already registered on your Windows device, preventing the new account from being authenticated. Please try re-activating your license by following the steps below.
1. Click **Settings** (gear icon) from the **Start menu (Windows button)**.
2. Click **Accounts** > **Access work or school**.
3. Check if the account information you want to use for activation is displayed under **Work or school account**.
4. Select the user account you want to sign out of and click **Disconnect**.
5. Restart your PC.
*Note:
If you have set up a BitLocker key, disconnecting the account registered in "Work or school account" may trigger BitLocker to lock your drive.
If you do not know your recovery key, retrieving your data will be extremely difficult, and in some cases, the only way to recover is to initialize (format) your device.
Therefore, before disconnecting the account, make sure to check whether BitLocker is enabled or disabled. If it is enabled, please be sure to back up your recovery key.
Please note that we do not provide support for BitLocker.
If the issue is not resolved by the above steps, please also try the following procedure.
1. Access the following URL:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/troubleshoot/activation/reset-office-365-proplus-activation-state
2. Under "Method: Use scripts to automate the cleanup process", click step "1" to download "OLicenseCleanup.zip".
3. Right-click "OLicenseCleanup.zip" and click **Extract All** to unzip the file.
4. In the extracted folder, you will find a file named "OLicenseCleanup.vbs". Double-click it to run.
A window will flash open and close briefly about four times. Once this finishes, your license activation state will be reset.
