Large-scale Supercomputer Systems

Target:StudentsTeachers

We provide supercomputer systems and various application software to academic researchers nationwide.

Service Features

  • The new systems consist of computing performance-oriented System A(Camphor3), versatility-oriented System B(Laurel3), memory capacity-oriented System C (Cinnamon3), GPU-equipped System G(Gardenia1)and storage.
  • Providing various application software such as computational chemistry, structural analysis, statistical processing and visualization, etc.

1.System Configurations

The new system is expected to consist of three types of systems based on the concept of a current system (System A, B and C), a new system equipped with an accelerator (System G), and a storage system. The CPU in systems A, B, and C are all Intel Xeon of the same generation, however there are differences in memory speed and capacity.System A is a configuration that emphasizes memory speed, System B is a configuration with a good balance between capacity and performance, and System C is a configuration that emphasizes memory capacity.

Please refer to System Specification for details.

2. Before Using Services

Please check Application Guideline and Application Flow Chart and submit the application.

3. How to Use

Please refer to Supercomputer System User's Guide on how to connect to a supercomputer and how to use compilers, libraries, applications, etc.
*You must log in with your user ID.

4. End of Services

If you do not apply for the continued use of the supercomputer service, you will end the service at the end of the fiscal year and you will not be able to log in to the supercomputer. Sftp and rsync access will be available until the end of May, however data on the supercomputer will be deleted after June.
