VM Hosting
Provides a unique domain computing environment (server) with an occupied virtual machine (VM).
By using this service, users can freely build and operate servers by granting administrator (root) privileges to users.
We can also customize the server environment by expanding the functions provided and changing the operating system according to the user's wishes.
Service Features and Benefits
- No need to purchase and manage hardware, reducing the cost and effort required to operate servers
- Free server construction is possible using an occupied server with root privileges, just as if you had purchased the actual machine.
Before using this service
- Please refer to ホスティングサービス利用規則(PDF) for eligibility requirements.
Please note that you will be deemed to have agreed to the Rules of Use upon submitting a new application. - Please obtain approval from your department's accounting department before use.
- If you are using an OS other than Windows Server, please be sure to include your public key when applying for new use.
- Basically, an application to host on KUINSDB is required to use this service.
Please note that the application to be hosted on the KUINSDB and the related user fees are required separately from the application and user fees for this service. - IPv6 addresses are provided as a set of KUINS-II IPv4 and IPv6 addresses managed by the NIC to one virtual NIC. If you wish to use IPv6, please fill in "IPv6利用希望" in the "申請時メモ". In principle, IPv6 usage is only accepted for new applications. If you wish to use IPv6 address for an existing VM, please contact us. Please note that only IPv4 addresses need to be registered for host applications to KUINSDB, and IPv6 addresses do not need to be registered.

Confirmation of continued use for the next year
The use of this service is on an annual basis, so an application must be submitted each fiscal year.
In February or March, we will send you an invitation to confirm whether or not you wish to continue using the service for the next fiscal year.
