Fiscal Year 2014
Overview
We will accept applications for the research incentive program targeted for younger researchers under forty (including students). Submitted candidate research projects are reviewed by the "Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee" of the ACCMS, and about twenty of them are adopted. As for the adopted projects, the ACCMS bears part or all of the usage fees. This program requires adopted candidates to submit a Research Report on Supercomputing at the end of the fiscal year, to acknowledge their use of this system in writing in their reports, and to contribute an article on their research results to our public relations magazine.
Application Eligibility Requirements
- Those persons qualified to use the supercomputer system in fiscal year 2014.
- Those persons under the age of forty as of April 1, 2014.
Research Program Requirements
- The ACCMS will bear all of the usage fees of the personal course (Type A, B, C, D, E or G), or part of the usage fees of the group course when services are used only by the applicant (100,000 yen).
- An adopted researcher must do the following:
-
- Submit a research project report on supercomputing (Deadline: the end of April, 2015).
- Contribute an article on research results (about two pages, A4-size paper) to our public relations magazine.

The project manager must also send information and relevant documents on the report to the Inter-University Services Section.
* On the wording of the acknowledgements, please see "Regarding acknowledgements for use of the Collaborative Research Program".
Selection Criteria
In reviewing projects, the ACCMS regards projects that are expected to demonstrate achievements that have an academic impact as important. Software development projects that improve the performance and utilization efficiency of supercomputers are also welcomed. Actual results of using our supercomputer system and of publications, as well as research results of particular projects, may be referred to for subsequent reviews.
