Email Service for Faculty and Staff (KUMail)
Designed for FacultyStaff
This is a web-based email service that uses Google Workspace's Gmail and can be used by anyone with a faculty/staff account (SPS-ID).
Please check the KUMail address (@kyoto-u.ac.jp) regularly for announcements from the President, Executive Director, administrative headquarters, university-wide organizations, and departments, as well as in case of emergency.
Features
- Accounts are provided to users with SPS-IDs (no application is required for use).
- Supports Webmail, SMTP, IMAP, and POP (however, desktop email app is not supported)
- Available capacity is 100 GB per user
- The address provided is @kyoto-u.ac.jp
- Other services provided by Google Workspace Services is also available
1. Requirements & Rules
- SPS-ID is required.
- Please refer to the User's regulations of All-University mail, Kyoto University(PDF) for eligibility requirements, etc.
- Please refer to the Points to Note Regarding the Use of Email for Kyoto University Faculty and Staff(PDF) for safe use of the product.

2. Access Kyoto University Mail for faculty and staff (KUMail)
※Enter your SPS-ID and its password to log in. Multi-factor authentication is also required.
When logging out, click the user icon in the upper right corner of the screen and press "Sign out".
