The browser's virtual terminal tab is closed

When a tab connected to a terminal is suddenly closed while using a virtual-type terminal, there are three possible causes, each with a different remedy.

  1. Use of a shortcut to close a browser tab ([Ctrl]+W or [Ctrl]+[F4], etc.)
  2. In case of making a connection before the OS is ready, such as immediately after the reserved terminal has been booted up.
  3. Being affected by browser history information or extensions already installed.

In the case of 1., if you use a shortcut key that is reserved in advance on your PC terminal, the operation of the shortcut on the PC terminal has priority.
If you are worried about this behavior, please maximize the screen using the “FullScreen” button displayed at the top of the VDI terminal before operating the terminal.

Case 2 above is expected to occur especially when a VDI terminal for self-study is reserved for use. In this case, the OS (Windows or Linux) of the VDI terminal generally may take a long time to log in to the terminal immediately after the OS is booted, and/or the connection may be unstable during this period.
If this happens, we apologize for the inconvenience, but we recommend that you take a few moments and try connecting again, or try making a new reservation by referring to the solution described in Reference 1. below, or make a reservation for courses instead of self-study.

If neither case 1. nor case 2. solves the problem, please contact us for possible solutions to 3. Please check if the problem can be solved by taking the same measures as in the following Reference 2 article..
