Some wallets contain a plasticizing agent in the soft, transparent vinyl of the wallet. This agent can melt the printed ink on your IC card. Put your card in your wallet so that the card face does not contact the vinyl of the wallet. In particular, if the photo or ink on the face of the card becomes blurred, you will have to have your card reissued.
