【スパコン】定期保守でのソフトウェアアップデートのお知らせ / Notification of the Software Update
平成30年12月6日からの定期保守において，システムA,B,Cのソフトウェアのアップデートを実施しました．

- GPUサーバの提供開始について

The Supercomputer Systems have been updated upon the completion of the maintenance work started on December 6, 2018.
This update includes the followings:
- New Versions of the Software
- Start to offer GPU server

10月保守以降から今回保守までに導入した，ソフトウェアの新バージョンは下表に記載した通りとなります．

2. GPUサーバの提供開始について / Start to offer GPU server
スパコン利用時の可視化環境の改善を目的として，GPUを搭載したサーバの提供を試験的に開始致します．
GPUサーバには，NVIDIA Quadro P4000 を搭載しており，可視化ソフトウェアの性能の改善が期待できます．
GPUサーバへのジョブ投入は，システムA,B,C の各ログインサーバから xrun コマンドを介して実施頂くことが可能です．

We will start to offer a server equipped with GPU experimentally in order to improve the visualization environment when using supercomputer.
The GPU server is equipped with NVIDIA Quadro P4000, which is expected to improve the performance of visualization software.
Job submission to the GPU server can be performed from each login server of systems A, B and C via the xrun command.
