【Supercomputer】 Notification of the Software Update
平成30年3月27日からの定期保守において，システムA/B/Cのソフトウェアのアップデートを実施しました．

The Supercomputer Systems have been updated upon the completion of the maintenance work started on March 27, 2018.
This update includes the followings:
- New Versions of the Software
- Changes in Default Versions When Configuring Modules
- [System A] OS update
- [System B/C] Internet connection from the computing nodes
- Replacement of the storage system
- Changes in ENVI licensing service
- Changes in the URL of supercomputer manual site
1. ソフトウェアの新バージョン導入 / New Versions of the Software
今回の保守で導入した，ソフトウェアの新バージョンは下表に記載した通りとなります．

注：Intel Compiler 2017.0.6 のMPIライブラリは Intel MPI 2017.4 となります
2. module環境設定時のデフォルトバージョンの変更 / Changes in Default Versions When Configuring Modules
moduleコマンドによる環境設定時のデフォルトバージョンを，以下の通り変更しました．
moduleファイル名のスラッシュ（/）とバージョンを省略してロードすると，デフォルトのバージョンが読み込まれます． デフォルト以外のバージョンを利用したい場合は，スラッシュとバージョン番号を明記してロードしてください．

3. [System A] OSアップデートについて / OS update
システムAのOSをCLE6.0.UP04(SLES12SP2)からCLE6.0.UP06(SLES12SP3)にアップデートしました。
Linuxカーネル及びOSに付属するソフトウェアがバージョンアップされていますが、既存のコンパイル済みのプログラムの動作に影響はありません。

The OS on system A has been updated from CLE6.0.UP04(SLES12SP2) to CLE6.0.UP06(SLES12SP3).
Some software bundled with OS and its Linux kernel have been updated, which don't affect user program compiled before this OS update.
4. [システムB/C] 計算ノードからの外部接続について / Internet connection from the computing nodes
システムB/C、および専用クラスタの計算ノードから外部ネットワークへ直接接続できるようになりました。
会話型実行またはバッチジョブ中に、外部との通信が可能になります。
外部と接続する際に相手に認識されるIPアドレスは、133.3.51.9となります。
なお、外部から計算ノードへの直接接続はできません。

The direct connection from the computing nodes to the internet is available.
Users can connect to the internet during the execution of batch job or interactive execution.
The IP address for the internet connetion is 133.3.51.9.
Please note that you cannot connect from the internet to the compute nodes.
5. ストレージシステムの一部更新について / Partial replacement of the storage system
/home1, /LARGE2, /LARGE3 に対応するストレージ（ExaScaler SFA12K）を、ExaScaler SFA14Kに更新しました。
これに伴い、システムEのユーザのホームであった /home1 はファイル移行用に残しておりますが、将来的に廃止致します。
/home1 にファイルを残している方は、2018年度中にバックアップをお願いします。

The ExaScaler SFA12K storage system, which provides /home1, /LARGE2, and /LARGE3, has been replaced with SFA14K.
Due to that, /home1, which is the home directory for system E, will be discontinued in the future.
If you have necessary files in /home1, please copy them to other space by the end of 2018.
6. ENVIライセンスサービスについて / Changes in ENVI licensing service
2018年度より，ライセンスサービスでENVI 5.5が利用可能になります．
5.5では、これまでの5.3以前と利用にあたっての設定手順が一部変わります．
詳細は2018年度のライセンスサービスの利用承認メールに添付される説明書をご覧ください．
なお，ベンダのサポート形態が最新版および一世代前のみのサポートとなったため，5.3以前のバージョンは2018年8月で提供終了となる予定です．
5.3以前をお使いのユーザの方におかれましては，お手数ですが，提供終了までにENVI 5.5への移行をお願いいたします．

ENVI 5.5 is now available with licensing service.
The setup procedure for 5.5 is partially different from that of 5.3.
For details, please see the manual which is attached to the approval email for licensing service of annual year 2018.
Note: The vendor company of ENVI has changed the support policy and currently supports only the newest version and the previous version, so our licensing service for ENVI 5.3 and earlier will end on August 2018.
Please migrate to the version 5.5 by August.
