平成29年8月2日からの定期保守において,システムB/Cのソフトウェアのアップデートを実施しました.

1. ソフトウェアの新バージョン導入
2. Intel distribution for pythonの新規導入について
3. システムB/Cログインノードの安定化について

The Supercomputer Systems have been updated upon the completion of the maintenance work started on August 2, 2017.

This update includes the followings:

1. New Versions of the Software
2. Implementation of the Intel distribution for python
3. Improvement of the stability of login nodes for system B/C

システムB/CにIntel distribution for pythonを導入しました。高速化のチューニングを施された実行エンジンと、Intel MPIやIntel MKLの利用により、pythonプログラムの高速な実行を実現します。

3. システムB/Cログインノードの安定化について / Improvement of the stability of login nodes for system B/C

昨年度のシステム更新以降,システムBのログインノードが不定期にパニックダウンする不具合を抱えておりましたが,今回の保守において不具合の改善が期待できるLinuxカーネルの修正プログラムを適用致しました.

After the system replacement last year, the login nodes for system B had a problem which led to the occasional panic down of login nodes. In the maintainance this time, we have applied a patch to the Linux kernel to fix the problem.
