【スパコン】Notification of changes due to scheduled maintenance

publication date : Apr. 4, 2023

We would like to inform you of the changes associated with the scheduled maintenance that has been in place since March 28, 2023.

  1. Systems offered in April.
  2. Introduction status of the new software versions.
  3. Changes in the use of MATLAB.

1. Systems offered in April.

System G and Cloud System services will resume on April 4, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.

System G is scheduled to be officially in service on May 1, but will be available ahead of schedule on April 4.
The service availability of System B/C will depend on the progress of the construction of the cooling facilities, but at this time we expect to be able to move it up to April 24. Please wait a little longer for the resumption of the service.

The cloud system will be available to all users with a user number, and we expect to have approximately 30 nodes with 36 cores and 384GB of memory per node. Due to the small size of the configuration, we will limit the number of nodes available for batch jobs to one node per job, but we hope you can take advantage of this system for small calculations.

Please note that System D/E which have been provided under a trial operation environment from January to March 2023 was terminated in March 2023.

3. Changes in the use of MATLAB.

Due to the changes of Kyoto University's MATLAB license agreement to a campus-wide license, authentication is now required when starting MTLAB. Kyoto University members are required authentications as an Individual license when starting MATLAB, so please refer to the "Start Guide" posted at the URL below.
