Network Replacement to Cause KUINS (Campus Network) Outage in August(Aug.30 Complete)

As of Aug. 30, 2021, work on the following campuses has been completed.
Main Campus(North Area) , North Campus, Faculty of Medicin, Off-campus communications, Katsura Campus,
Yoshida South Campus, University Hospital (East Area), Uji Campus, Main Campus(South Area), Faculty of Pharmacy, University Hospital (West Area)

Institute for Information Management and Communication (IIMC) will perform a network hardware replacement across our campus in the coming August. Below are the timelines for this work, and users in the affected areas will experience KUINS (campus network) outage during the maintenance window.
Replacement of university-wide network hardware will affect any incoming/outgoing communications from/to all KU campuses:

Note: If we have a problem during the work, we may have to revert to the initial state and start over, which would result in an extended time period of about two hours.
This replacement work will affect:
・Any incoming/outgoing communication from/to off-campus network
・Any communication from/to devices on the KUINS-II network
・Any communication from/to devices on the KUINS-III network, including KUINS-Air and VPN connection
During the outage, you will NOT be able to:
・Access on-/off-campus web servers
・Access Faculty and Staff Groupware or Common Portal for All Students
・Send or receive emails with your university email address. Messages sent to your address during the outage will reach your inbox once the network is back up and running.
・Access your department/laboratory web server if it's on the KUINS-II network. However, if the server is on the off-campus cloud (like those our web hosting service offers) and reachable without passing through any on-campus network, you will be able to access it from the off-campus network regardless.
