2009年12月25日(金曜日)掲載
The Japanese Copyright Act will have new amendments put into effect on January 1, 2010. These amendments include such changes that will allow for the smoother use of copyrighted materials via the Internet, and provide better access opportunities for handicapped persons. On the other hand, it also prohibits the download of illegally circulating music/video data. You may not download audio data (music, ringtones, etc.) or video data (movies, TV programs, etc.) that are circulating in breach of copyright laws, regardless of whether it is intended to be for personal use.
The Kyoto University network (this includes both the Kyoto University Information Network System [KUINS], and the wireless network) is available for academic use, and may not be utilized for any other purpose. In the event that an illegal download is identified, the user will be banned from the network in addition to other measures in accordance with the “Rules for Kyoto University Information Network Use”.
With limited exceptions, the use of P2P file sharing software (Winny, BitTorrent, FlashGet, eMule, etc.) is prohibited on the campus network. You are reminded to pay careful attention to and to abide by the relevant rules and regulations of Kyoto University when making use of the information network.
