「Cloud Forensics: Current Research and Development in the U.S.」

As cloud computing has recently emerged as a dominant platform for deploying applications and storing data, digital forensics faces many challenges in this new environment, such as physical inaccessibility, volatile data, less control over the cloud, physical seizure, as well as the legal and organizational issues. In this talk, we will first discuss what cloud forensics is and then present the problems we are facing. After reviewing and analyzing the progress made in the research and development of cloud forensics in the U.S., the future challenges and research resources will be provided.
