The Supercomputer Systems have been updated upon completing the maintenance work from June 13 to 15, 2023.

This update includes the following:

1. Installation of New Software Versions
2. Change of the Default Version of MATLAB
3. Disabling the Turbo Boost Function

1. Installation of New Software Versions

Below are the new versions of the software installed after the last maintenance.

2. Change of the Default Version of MATLAB

The default version of MATLAB has been changed from R2022b to R2023a as part of the maintenance work performed this time. The R2022b version has a problem with license authentication, which is not expected to be corrected and is no more provided.

In addition, license authentication is required to use MATLAB from this academic year. Kyoto University members can continue to use MATLAB as before by entering their university-wide address (@kyoto-u.ac.jp or @st.kyoto-u.ac.jp). For details, please refer to the Web Manual.

3. Disabling the Turbo Boost Function

At the start of this fiscal year's service, the CPU turbo boost function (a function that raises the operating frequency above the specified value) for System B/C/G was enabled on a trial basis. However, in consideration of the rising cost of electricity, it was turned off during the maintenance work conducted this time.
