Upgrading Software License Management Support Tool

Dear KU colleagues,

On March 11, 2021, IIMC will perform maintenance on our Software License Management Support Tool, or SLM Support Tool, to upgrade it to a new version. The maintenance will start at 6 PM and last for about one hour. Since the service may be disrupted for a few minutes, please avoid using the SML Support Tool during the maintenance window.

This upgrade features the following changes:

1) Deleting the progress bar function

The Windows versions of our SLM Support Tool use a function provided by Internet Explorer to show a progress bar while scanning your software. Since Microsoft will drop support for Internet Explorer on June 6, we decided not to show a progress bar during the scan in the new versions.

2) Added support for exporting to a mapped network drive

Currently, the offline Windows version doesn't support exporting a scan result to a network drive mapped to a drive letter and gives you an error message when you try to do so. The new version will add support for saving your scan result on a network drive.

3) Other minor changes and bug fixes
