You were required to perform VPN connection such as PPTP in connecting to KUINS from the network with wireless LAN before, but we can connect with your account(SPS-ID/ECS-ID) in KUINS-Air.

The page above mentions how to use. Please connect after confirming the server's name in server certificate(rad.kuins.kyoto-u.ac.jp) and thumb print(finger print value).
