We posted a notice on July 26, 2019, "Implementation of Outgoing Address Restrictions for Authenticated Email Sending Servers",
in which we announced we will be enforcing restrictions on the sender (From) of the authenticated email sending server for our email hosting service ( smtp-auth.kuins.kyoto-u.ac.jp ). We said that the email address that can be specified as the email address is limited to the domain for the email hosting service, and it will go into effect in August 2021.

We will also let you know that we intend to change the name of the sending server at that time.

The limitation on the email addresses that can be specified as the sender does not have any effect on the users of the email hosting service.
However, due to the change in the name of the sending server, it is necessary to change the settings of your mail software and system, which are sending emails from the email hosting service domain address as the sender.

We will inform you of the details of the implementation date and the name of the transmission server when they are confirmed.
