The Supercomputer Systems have been updated upon the completion of the maintenance work started on August 2, 2017.

This update includes the followings:

1. New Versions of the Software
2. Implementation of the Cray Python
3. OS update on system A

1. ソフトウェアの新バージョン導入 / New Versions of the Software

今回の保守で導入した,ソフトウェアの新バージョンは下表に記載した通りとなります.

2. Cray Pythonの新規導入について / Implementation of the Cray Python

システムAにCray Pythonを導入しました。Crayシステム上で高い性能を引き出すために最適化された実行エンジンと、Cray LibSciライブラリおよびCray MPTライブラリの利用により、pythonプログラムの高速な実行を実現します。

3. システムAのOSアップデートについて / OS update on system A

システムAのOSをCLE6.0.UP01(SLES12)からCLE6.0.UP04(SLES12SP2)にアップデートしました。
Linuxカーネル及びOSに付属するソフトウェアがバージョンアップされていますが、既存のコンパイル済みのプログラムの動作に影響はありません。
また、下記の問題が解消されております。

• Exceed onDemandでログイン時、gnome-terminal系でログインすると文字色が背景と同化する。

The OS on system A has been updated from CLE6.0.UP01(SLES12) to CLE6.0.UP04(SLES12SP2).
Some software bundled with OS and its Linux kernel have been updated, which don't affect user program compiled before this OS update.
With this OS update, the following problem has been solved.

• When loginning using Exceed onDemand, fonts on the screen is unreadable as the font color is matched with the background color.
