【重要】年末のメールサービス(DeepMail) 一時停止のお知らせ

 京都大学では,全学学生並びに教職員に対して「教育用メールシステム」を提供しています. また,平成22年4月より全教職員に利用可能な「全学メールシステム」の運用を開始しています.

 本学では,メールサービスの品質向上と管理業務の効率化のために教育用メールシステムのサービスを全学メールシステム用のサーバに移行します.この移行により,停電時等のサービス停止時間の縮減,迷惑メールフィルタリングの強化などのサービスの品質向上をはかります.

 つきましては,移行作業のため以下の日程で,教育用メールサービスの停止を予定しています.

 作業予定期間:2010/12/24(金)深夜~2010/12/27(月)午前中,
  具体的なサービス停止スケジュールは確定しだい,ご案内します.
  停止期間中は,メールの送受信が行えなくなります.

 ※ サービスは移行作業が終了次第再開いたします.

 ※ 利用者がご利用になっているメールソフトなどの設定の移行に伴う変更を行う必要はありません
 ※ 作業対象は ECS-ID でログインする教育用メールシステムです.SPS-ID でログインする全学メールは移行作業の対象ではありません.

Dear user,

 Email service will be stop during the year change period.

 Kyoto University provides a email service "ECS (Educational Computer System) mail " for all students and faculty members. and also KUMail system is provided for all faculty members from April 2010.

 ECS mail service will be unified in to the KUMail services for more efficient of administrative task and quality improvement. This will allow to become shortened service suspension times and enhanced the spam mail filtering function.

 We planning the service stop of ECS mail service at the end of the year.

the detail is included below.

- Period : late-evening of 24,Dec 2010 to 27,Dec 2010
  The email service will be stopped 3day in during this period.
 We will notify the stopping schedule after fixed.

- You do not need to make a change in your mail client with this modification.

- This modification target is only the mail service which using ECS Account.
  (Modification target domains are .ecs.kyoto-u.ac.jp or .mbox.media.kyoto-u.ac.jp)

 We ask for your kind understanding.
