Support for Distance Education and Tele-Conferences

We provide support for lectures and conferences held between distant locations as well as seminars and symposia.

Support for distance education
By making full use of devices that are compatible with a variety of network environments and drawing on the knowhow we have accumulated over many years, we maintain the smooth operation of distance education lectures and classes. Distance lectures and classes on-campus through use of a high-definition distance education system.
Teleconferencing support
We have been supporting the operation of inter-campus, domestic, and internationl video-conferences . Our video-conferencing facilities support H.323 protocol, the international standard regulating the transmission format of images and sound, we can choose appropriate devices for various purposes.

Support for seminars and symposia

By taking advantage of the knowhow and equipments that we have been using for distance education and video-conferences, we are supporting the transmission, delivery, and recording of videos of various seminars and symposia. Concretely, we have transmitted and recorded activities such as the following:

・ Discussions with overseas researchers

・ Transmission of demonstrations of experimental equipment used in remote locations

・ Recording of the lectures and symposia

How to apply

To carry out distance education, we have to prepare equipment and secure personnel ahead of time. We ask that you consult with Distance Education Support Services as early as possible. It is not necessary to give us concrete information on the time and content of the lectures or classes. Please fill in the required items in the form that appears when you click the link for 'Inquiries' near the top of the left menu on this page. [LEW1] When you have decided to implement distance learning, you will need to submit a request to the head of the Institute for Information Management and Communication (IIMC)
