Designing a Poster

Prior to printout your poster on the roll paper, you start with creation and design of your poster data.

To creat the data, you can use any graphic design application, including PowerPoint or Illustrator, that creates printing data for large-format printers using the Printer driver provided by Hewlett-Packard, the Printer manufacturer.

The colors cannot be completely reproduced on the printed paper because computer monitors use three colors: red (R), green (G) and blue (B), while output devices including printers use four colors: cyan (C), magenta (M), yellow (Y), and black (K). Thus, to ensure better print quality, you can use the applications including Illustrator, capable of converting the color model to YMCK.

Size (Width) and Type of Roll Paper

A 36 inches-wide coated roll paper is pre-loaded in the Printer. Please refrain from bringing or loading your own paper in the Printer.

When you wish to print out on a paper larger than A0 size, you need to specify the width and length of your poster. Otherwise, the printed image will be truncated.

Creating Printing Data (Files)

For Windows Users

Install a virtual Printer driver (provided by the manufacturer) and create printing data by outputting the data.

If the application and the printer driver are not compatible each other or if any error occurred to its object of the created data, you may fail to obtain the desired output results.
