Information Management and Communication Department

The Information Management and Communication Department (IMCD) is comprised of 2 divisions and 2 offices: the Computerized Planning Division, which conducts administrative operations, the IT Services Division, which is in charge of technical matters, the Office of Electronic Administrative Services, and the Office of Information Security Management. Activities and services of the IMCD include:

  • Planning, development, management and operation of the University IT infrastructure
  • Providing a variety of user services related to the IT infrastructure
  • Developing and providing an advanced and secure information environment
  • Developing personnel capable of advanced use of information and information technologies

  • General administrative affairs of the Information Management and Communication Department
  • Administrative matters concerning meetings of the Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies and other conferences
  • Matters related to meetings and conferences of the Institute for Information Management and Communication
  • Matters related to conferences and councils concerning informational planning and promotion of the National University Corporations
  • Matters related to conferences and councils concerning informational planning/promotion of the National University Corporations in the Kinki A District

Finance/Accounting and Research Resouces Group

  • Liaison and coordination related to accounting administration
  • Matters related to budget requests

Administrative Systems Management Group

  • Matters related to procurement of computer systems for administrative use
  • Planning related to administrative computer systems and network systems
  • Development and maintenance of human resource and payroll systems
  • Planning and implementation of information system auditing
  • Management and operation of administrative computer systems
  • Matters related to development of finance/accounting systems and academic resource systems
  • Information security for the Administration Bureau and other facilities

Office of Electronic Administrative Services

  • Matters related to the promotion of electronic administrative services
  • Matters related to the operation and maintenance of the University’s groupware system

  • Management and operation of the South Building of the Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, and of the telecommunications building
