Information Security e-learning FAQ

"Information System Application Rules and its Information Security(Students/Faculty and Staff) " have no sound. Please take the course as is. Princess Rinrin has sound. In case there is no sound coming out, please check your connection.

The materials are revised every year. Please take e-learning course every year even though you took it before.

No problem because all users get that message in e-Learning by Information security.

The rating in taking exam from myhome. and the entrance page of each materials(The screen with the "Go into the questions" button) is not linked to the score of your completion exam.

The rating has following meanings in the each materials.

  • Princess Rinrin:
    The amount of the pages you browsed in the materials will be displayed.(82 pages including completion exam).
    The completion exam pages will be counted as browsed in getting more than 80 points.
  • Information System Application Rules and its Information Security:
    It will be displayed 0% regardless of the completion exam or browsing condition.
  1. 京都大学情報システム利用規則とセキュリティの例で説明します.りんりん姫についても同様の手順で確認できます.

    1. ログイン し,教材の選択画面で,「修了テスト」(りんりん姫の場合は「総合テスト」)をクリックする.
    2. 修了テストを受験済みの場合は,画面中央に成績が表示されます.

Information security E-learning uses cookies. If you refuse all cookies, you cannot use E-learning. Thus, you need to enable the acceptance of cookies. However, you do not have to accept all cookies, and the safest way is to accept cookies only from web sites that you can trust. Under the privacy tab for Internet options on Internet Explorer, you can create a setting of 'medium-high' or above and select the web sites you will allow to use cookies when you visit them.

Changing your password will depend on the type of account you have.

  • For persons (undergraduate and graduate students)
    who have an ECS-ID of the Educational Computer System of the Institute for Information Management and Communication (IIMC.):
    Go to the user menu for Informatics Education Support Services ⇒ Follow instructions from 'Re-set of password & e-mail forward (学生アカウントなど設定変更 (パスワード、全学メール転送設定などの変更))'
  • Persons (faculty and staff)
    who use Kyoto University groupware for faculty and staff:After logging in to Kyoto University groupware for faculty and staff, go to the upper right part of the top page and follow instructions from 'パスワードの変更'

Persons who have an employee number and temporary staff members can get an SPS-ID. Please contact the person in charge of general affairs in your department.

When your SPS-ID was changed because of a change in your surname and you take a course again, your previous study record will be carried over.
