Virtual terminal

[Ubuntu] "login failed for display 0" is displayed on the login screen and login fails

If you enter your password on the Ubuntu login screen and are unable to log in with the following error message, there are two possible causes.

connectiong to sesman ip 127.0.0.1 port 3350
sesman connect ok
sending login info to session manager, please wait...
login failed for display 0

(case 1)

If you make a mistake in entering your password, you will receive this error message. Please enter your password again, paying attention to the upper and lower case letters.

Also, if you click the connect button on the reservation list screen with [Caps Lock] key turned on, the upper case and lower case letters are switched when entering the key on the virtual terminal including the login screen.

Please enter the letters in the User ID field once and make sure that the upper and lower case letters are entered correctly.

If you find that the capital letters have been swapped, close the browser tab, turn off [CapsLock], and click on the Connect button.

(case 2)

The virtual terminal may not have been able to boot properly. Return to the reservation screen and reboot the virtual terminal by following the steps below.

1. Click on the list of reservation that you were unable to connect to, the power control menu will appear at the top of the screen.

2. Select "Power Off" from the power control menu and then "Power On" after a while.

3. Click on the Connect button to log in again.
