Virtual terminal

[Ubuntu] Checking the capacity used

The amount used by each person is displayed in the following ways.

1.Open Disk Usage Analyzer as follows to see the size of the "Home Folder".

(1) Click [Activities] in the upper left corner of the Ubuntu desktop.
(2) Click on the "Show Applications" icon in the Dock of icons at the bottom of the screen.
(3) Click on the "Utilities" icon from the application list screen.
(4) Click on the "Disk Usage Analyzer" icon.

2.To view the top 100 largest directories, open a terminal and run the following command.
The list will be displayed along with the approximate capacity under the directory.

du -ah -BK ~ --exclude=.snapshot | sort -rn | head -100

Please note that the combined capacity of the Ubuntu home directory and the Windows M drive is limited to 5 GB per person.
